Abstract

In this study, traces of Ahilik will be investigated based on two objects in Konak novel published by Mustafa Necati Sepetçioğlu in 1973. One of these objects is the “börk” known as an Ahi cap. The other is the sword, a weapon used by the Ahi’s and equipped. The research covers only this novel by Sepetçioğlu. The research aims to follow the traces of the Ahilik organization, which is hidden between the lines of the novel, with the "börk" and sword associated with "Ahilik". During the research, the use of these two objects in the novel in question was emphasized. While "börk" is seen only on people's heads, the sword is an object of discussion in the novel. Knowing the color of this hat is as significant as knowing who wears it. As a result of the research, it was seen that the "Ahilik" establishment was tried to be described around the objects of “börk”  and sword, rather than being directly and explicitly described in "Konak" novel. The presence of artisans among the characters strengthens these view of Ahilik.
